BROCCOLI, RICE, CHEESE, AND CHICKEN CASSEROLE

This is a complete meal that you and your loved ones will surely love! Broccoli, rice, cheese, and chicken in one casserole, what’s not to like? This recipe is pretty easy to prepare. All you need are simple ingredients and easy steps, and you are good to go! It is ready for serving in less than an hour! It can feed up to 8 people. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

¼ c butter

16 oz. frozen chopped broccoli

1 c milk

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

2 c uncooked instant rice

1-pound processed cheese food

2 cans of chunk chicken, drained

1 small white onion, chopped (optional)

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

2 c water

Directions:

Place the rice into a medium pan. Add enough water to submerge the rice, then cook according to the package instructions.

Remove from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the oven and preheat it to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Transfer the rice to a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Add butter, processed cheese, onion, broccoli, chicken, cream of chicken soup, and cream of mushroom soup into the baking dish with the rice. Stir everything until well combined.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until the cheese has completely melted.

Remove the casserole from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

I highly suggest using long-grain rice for this recipe. It is much healthier and the texture is just perfect for this casserole.

Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.
