CHOCOLATE BUTTERMILK PIE

Ingredients:

2 unbaked pie shells (9 in or larger)

2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature

3 3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup all-purpose

1/3 cup cocoa powder

6 Eggs

1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup plus 2 oz. buttermilk

Directions:

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, add in the butter and sugar. Stir until well combined.

Step 2: Add in the eggs and beat until well mixed.

Step 3: In another mixing bowl, add in the cocoa, flour, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

Step 4: Transfer the flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir until well combined.

Step 5: Add in vanilla and buttermilk. Stir until well mixed.

Step 6: Transfer the mixture into the prepared pie shells.

Step 7: Place them inside the oven and bake at 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C for 45 minutes or until done.

Step 8: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool.

Step 9: Slice into small pieces.

Step 10: Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

Place any leftovers in the fridge.

You can use an electric mixer or your hands to mix.
