Crockpot recipes save me loads of time. Before leaving the house, I prep everything and set them to cook. And when I come home, my family is greeted with a filling dinner. This crockpot cube steak has been my go-to for years! Tender, juicy cube steak smothered in a rich and creamy gravy topped with onions and mushrooms. It is a scrumptious, hearty dish. I love to serve this cube steak with rice and spoon extra gravy on top.

2 large yellow onions, sliced into ¼-inch rings

2 pounds cube steak (about 4 pieces)

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 (2-ounce) packet of onion soup mix

1 c. of low-sodium beef broth

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Buttered egg noodles, for serving

¼ c. of cold water

2 tablespoons of cornstarch

Step 1: In a slow cooker, place the steaks and season with salt and pepper. Then, add the garlic powder along with the onion, onion soup mix, and beef broth.

Step 2: Cover and cook for 8 hours on low.

Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk the cold water and cornstarch an hour before serving. Then, stir the slurry into the slow cooker.

Step 4: Set to cook on high after adding the cornstarch mix until the steak is cooked through and the gravy has thickened, stirring as it cooks.

Step 5: When done, serve the cubed steak immediately with buttered egg noodles. If desired, garnish with extra pepper. Enjoy!
