- 8 slices of thickly sliced bread Texas toast, or Challah bread
- 2 large eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- Optional: 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch salt
Over medium heat, heat a skillet or griddle (325-325°F).
Mix together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Transfer the mixture to a shallow baking dish.
Each slice of bread should be placed in the egg mixture and allowed to soak for between 20-30 seconds. Allow any excess liquid to drain into the dish.
