Turn oven on to 350°F (I set my convection oven at 325°F.
Combine the cake mix, 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a bowl. Add the melted butter to the bowl. Mix all ingredients together using a fork.
Use a 9-inch x 3-inch round cake pan, or a 9 x 13-inch baking pan coated with baking spray.
Place the cake mixture in a pan and flatten it.
Mix cream cheese, vanilla, remaining eggs, and butter in a stand mixer until smooth.
Mix in 1 cup of confectioners sugar at a time, and continue to mix on low speed until all sugar is added.
Spread cream cheese mixture on top of cake mixture
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. The edges of mine were golden brown. However, the center was still slightly jiggly. Don't overcook.
Let cool completely before serving.
