Directions

  1. Preheat your pan
    Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.

  2. Smash the beef
    Take a small handful of ground beef (about 110 g / 4 oz) and press it directly onto one half of a tortilla. Flatten it thinly so it cooks evenly. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Cook the beef
    Place the tortilla beef-side down on the hot skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the beef is nicely browned and sizzling.

  4. Add the cheese & fold
    Flip the tortilla so the beef side is now facing up. Sprinkle cheese over the beef, then fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling.

  5. Grill until crispy
    Continue cooking on both sides until the tortilla is golden and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

  6. Serve & enjoy
    Slice into wedges and serve with pickles, diced onions, burger sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
