Creamy Chicken Alfredo Bake Recipe

Pasta is always a family favorite in our house and this chicken alfredo bake is perfect for weeknight cooking. The creamy sauce comes together using ingredients you probably have on hand and the recipe takes just 30 minutes to make!

What You’ll Need:

16 ounces penne pasta
5 tablespoons of salted butter
4 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon black Pepper
1 tablespoon flour
2 cups heavy whipping crème
1 cup whole milk
2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded, divided
1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese shredded and divided
2 cups chicken breast, shredded or chopped

How to Make It:

Preheat oven to 350oF

Put pasta in a saucepan and cook until tender.

Heat butter in a Dutch Oven. Add cream cheese. Use a whisk for stirring.

Add minced garlic, onion powder and black pepper to the bowl. Season with Italian spice. Blend until smooth and butter/cream cheese melts.

Mix in the flour.

Continue to mix heavy whipping cream, one cup at time. Add milk.

Mix together 1 cup mozzarella cheese and 1 cup parmesan cheese. Stir until melted.

Once the sauce is melted add in the chicken and pasta.

Place in a 9×13 pan, which has been sprayed using nonstick spray.

Top with remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.

Bake for between 10-15 minutes to melt the cheddar cheese. Turn the broiler on for a few seconds to brown.
