Creamy Savory Flavor Bomb Chicken Roll-Ups

If you love chicken roll-ups, then you’ll love this flavor-packed version! These Creamy Savory Flavor Bomb Chicken Roll-Ups are loaded with shredded chicken, cream cheese, and a variety of seasonings for a delicious and easy meal. Simply roll up the ingredients in a tortilla, bake, and enjoy!

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts shredded and cooked or 1 rotisserie bird. I prefer rotisserie chicken for its flavor.
1 teaspoon salt
4 TBS butter
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped red, yellow, or orange bell peppers The sweeter variety
1 clove minced garlic
1 roma tomato died small
5 TBS flour
4 cups of broth*
1/4 to 1/2 cup heavy cream
3 cups mozzarella cheese
12 lasagna noodles cooked

Instructions:

Butter, onion, bell peppers, garlic, and tomato should be added to a skillet. Sauté over medium heat until softened. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook for another few minutes. Add flour. Slowly add 4 cups broth*.

Bring to a boil. Once the sauce has thickened to your preference consistency, turn off the heat and add 1/4 cup cream. If you prefer the sauce creamier, you can add 1/2 cup.

In a 9×13-inch pan, spread 1/2 cup sauce. Mix the shredded chicken with 2 cups mozz-cheese (you can add more or less cheese depending on your preference).

Spread cheese and shredded chicken on lasagna noodles. Roll up. Place in a 9×13 pan. Pour sauce over. Add more cheese if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and hot.

Different brands of broth may have different seasonings. Taste test the sauce to determine if it is salty. There will be plenty salt if you use bullion or rotisserie chicken. You will need salt to flavor plain boiled chicken with a low-sodium soup.
