If you’re obsessed with anything dill-pickle flavored, this Dill Pickle Chex Mix is about to become your newest snack addiction. It’s crunchy, tangy, savory, and bursting with that bold pickle punch everyone craves. Whether you’re hosting, snacking during movie night, or need something fun for a party, this mix delivers BIG flavor with minimal effort.

This recipe became an instant hit in our house. The first time I baked a batch, my husband walked by, grabbed a small handful… then immediately returned for a bowl. By the next day, the entire container was gone! Now it has become our go-to road trip snack and a must-make for game nights. There’s something about the bright dill flavor and addictive crunch that keeps everyone reaching back in for “just one more.”

Why This Dill Pickle Chex Mix

  • Huge pickle flavor: Dill, ranch, vinegar, and real pickle juice give every bite a perfectly tangy pop.

  • Ultra-crunchy: A mix of cereals, pretzels, cashews, and bagel chips bakes into a crispy snack you can’t put down.

  • Easy oven method: No frying, no fuss—just mix, bake, and enjoy.

  • Perfect for parties: Makes a big batch and stores beautifully.

  • Customizable: Add peanuts, goldfish crackers, broken chips, or remove nuts as needed.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Corn Chex cereal (approx. 120 g / 0.26 lb)

  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal (approx. 120 g / 0.26 lb)

  • 2 cups mini pretzel twists (60 g / 0.13 lb)

  • 2 cups bagel chips, roughly broken (90 g / 0.20 lb)

  • 1 cup cashew pieces (125 g / 0.27 lb)

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted (75 g / 0.16 lb)

  • 1 tbsp dried dill weed

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ cup dill pickle juice (120 ml)

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning (1 oz / 28 g)

  • 1 tbsp white vinegar (15 ml)

Directions

  1. Prep the oven: Set your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Corn Chex, Rice Chex, pretzels, bagel chips, and cashews. Toss gently to blend.

  3. Make the seasoning coating: In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, dill weed, garlic powder, pickle juice, ranch mix, and white vinegar until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  4. Coat the snack mix: Pour the seasoning mixture evenly over the dry ingredients. Using a spatula, stir carefully until everything is coated on all sides.

  5. Bake: Spread the mixture across the prepared baking sheets in an even layer. Bake for 25–30 minutes, giving it a stir halfway through to ensure even crisping.

  6. Cool completely: Remove from the oven and allow the mix to cool fully on the baking sheets. Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container for snacking or gifting.

Notes

  • Add extra crunch: Throw in oyster crackers, peanuts, or goldfish.

  • Make it spicy: Add ½–1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper or cayenne.

  • Make ahead: Stays crisp in an airtight container for 1–2 weeks.

  • More pickle flavor: Drizzle an extra tablespoon of pickle juice over the mix after baking, then let it dry.

  • Nut-free version: Simply omit the cashews and increase the cereal or pretzels.
