It’s a great party appetizer, an easy weeknight meal, or a side dish for any occasion. Garbage bread is crazy delicious, perfect for a party or weeknight meal, and endlessly adaptable! My favorite is this Bacon Cheeseburger Garbage Bread…it’s cheesy, packed with flavor, and served with bacon mixed in the breading.

What You Need:

Half pound chopped bacon
1 Cup Chop Onion
1 pound ground beef
1 Tablespoon Steak Seasoning (I used McCormick).
12 ounces Velveeta, cubed
1 (13 ounces) thin crust pizza dough
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar jack cheese
SAUCE
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
Salt & pepper to your liking

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425°C Set aside a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray.
Cook bacon on medium heat in a large skillet. Set aside the bacon. The majority of the grease should be drained.
Heat the oil in the same skillet to medium heat. Cook the ground beef and onions in the same skillet until softened. Drain any excess oil/grease out of the pan. Turn the heat down to low and place the skillet back onto the heat. Season the skillet with the steak seasoning. Stir in the Velveeta, and continue to cook the cheese until it is melted. Then, take the pan off the heat.
Place the pizza dough on the baking sheet. The pizza dough should measure approximately 15×10 inches. Spread the meat mixture on top of the dough, leaving a 12 inch border for spreading. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the meat. Start by rolling up the dough. Then, pinch the edges together to seal the pizza. Bake the crust seam-side down for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let the bread cool completely before cutting.

FOR THE SAUCE :

Mix together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup and salt in a small bowl.
If desired, dip the bread in the sauce.
