If you’re looking for an easy and delicious way to cook chicken, look no further than your crockpot! Making shredded chicken in a crockpot is simple and hassle-free, and the result is juicy, flavorful chicken that can be used in a variety of dishes.

To make shredded chicken in a crockpot, simply place chicken breasts (or thighs) in the bottom of the pot, add your favorite seasonings, and set the pot to low. Cook for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and use two forks to shred it. That’s it!

Shredded chicken is versatile and can be used in many different recipes. Try using it in tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, or even pasta dishes. The possibilities are endless!

Whether you’re prepping for a big family dinner or looking for an easy weeknight meal, this shredded chicken recipe is the perfect solution. Made in a crockpot, it’s incredibly simple to prepare and can be used in a variety of dishes. Serve it over rice, use it as filling for tacos or burritos, or top a salad with it for a hearty lunch or dinner. Best of all, this recipe is healthy and low-calorie, so you can enjoy it without feeling guilty.

To make shredded chicken in a crockpot, simply add chicken breasts (frozen or thawed) to the pot along with some seasonings of your choice. I like to keep things simple with just salt, pepper, and garlic powder, but feel free to get creative and add other herbs and spices as well. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through. When it’s done, use two forks to shred the meat and voila – you’ve got delicious shredded chicken that’s ready to be used in any number of ways!

Tips:

1. Use chicken breasts for the best results. Chicken thighs will work in a pinch, but they can make the dish greasy.

2. Season the chicken breasts with your favorite spices before adding them to the crockpot. This will give the dish more flavor.

3. Add some chopped onions and garlic to the crockpot for even more flavor.

4. Cook the chicken on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.

5. When the chicken is cooked through, shred it with a fork or use an immersion blender to make it into shredded chicken.

6. Serve the shredded chicken over rice, in tacos, or in a sandwich. Enjoy!

Notes:

This recipe now takes 3-4 hours on low, instead of the previous 6-7. A smaller crockpot can cook 4 chicken breasts at a time. I find this to be sufficient. You may need to cook the chicken breasts for an additional 4-6 hours if you have a large crockpot.
