INSTANT POT CUBED STEAK AND GRAVY

This is the best-cubed steak and gravy! It is made with a few simple ingredients and ready in a breeze. Succulent steak smothered in a flavour-packed gravy and serve over mashed potatoes. Enjoy an easy and super quick weeknight dinner any time with this Instant Pot Cubed Steak and Gravy!

I love making this dish. This has been my favourite for years and my go-to on the busiest days. My family is obsessed with the juicy and tender steak with delicious gravy. Pair this with mashed potatoes and your favourite veggies for a filling, restaurant-quality meal that your family will surely love!

Ingredients

4 cubed steaks (about 2 lbs)

1 can French onion soup

¼ c. water

3 tbsp cornstarch

1 packet Au Jus Gravy mix

1 ½ c. water

1 can cream of chicken soup

HOW TO MAKE INSTANT POT CUBED STEAK AND GRAVY

Step 1: Combine 1 ½ cups water, French onion soup, cream of chicken soup, and a packet of au just gravy mix until well blended.

Step 2: Into the pot, add the cubed steak and coat with the gravy. Put the lid on and turn the valve to “Sealing”. Set to cook for 20 minutes on Manual High pressure.

Step 3: Carefully turn the valve to “Venting” when done to perform a quick release. Before unlocking the lid, let the steam completely release first.

Step 4: Set the Instant Pot to “Saute” and take the cubed steaks out.

Step 5: To make the slurry, whisk ¼ cup water with cornstarch in a small bowl or measuring cup until incorporated.

Step 6: Into the gravy, pour the slurry mixture. Stir well until blended and keep whisking until the gravy begins to thicken. Then, return the cubed steaks. When done, turn the Instant Pot off.

Step 7: Serve right away over mashed potatoes, and do not forget the gravy. Enjoy!
