This recipe became a go-to in my kitchen on days when I wanted something special without the hassle of outdoor cooking. I remember one evening when we were all craving grilled food, but the weather didn’t cooperate. I decided to try these pan chicken kebabs, and they turned out even better than expected! My family loved how juicy and flavorful they were, and my husband couldn’t stop saying how they tasted just like grilled kebabs. Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and all the spices. Mix well to create a smooth marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces and toss until fully coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or longer for deeper flavor).
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, alternating with bell peppers and onion pieces.
- Heat a large pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- Place the skewers in the pan and cook, turning occasionally, for about 12–15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred on the edges.
- Remove from the pan and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes:
- If you don’t have skewers, you can cook the chicken pieces directly in the pan
- For extra smoky flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika
- Chicken thighs will give a juicier result than breast meat
- You can add chili powder or hot sauce if you prefer a spicy kick
- Serve with flatbread, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal
