These scalloped potatoes are delicious, easy to make and the perfect side dish for any meal.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients:

Cooking spray
5-6 cups thinly sliced potatoes, sliced to approximately 1/8-1/4 inches in thickness
2 cups extra thinly sliced onions
3 cups milk
1/3 cup flour
3 Tablespoons Salt
3/4 teaspoons pepper
1/4 heaping cup grated Romano cheese optional

Instructions:

Spray a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with cooking oil.

To cover the pan, place a layer of potatoes on the bottom. They can overlap a little.

Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and half of the onions on top of the potatoes.

Layer potatoes on top.

Sprinkle half of the onions with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

Place the remaining potatoes on top of the other potatoes and season with salt and pepper.

Combine the flour, milk, and pour it over the potato layers. It should be almost, but not fully covered. If necessary, you can add some milk.

Sprinkle Romano cheese over the potato mixture.

This is the time to cover and keep in the fridge until you’re ready for baking.

Bake them when you’re ready.

Bake for 1 hour or so until golden brown on top. If you don’t use Romano cheese, they won’t get quite as crispy.

Serve immediately
