Ingredients
  

CHICKEN

  • 1 1/2 lbs. Cut into bite-sized pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts and thighs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshground black pepper
  • For frying use vegetable oil or canola oils

SAUCE

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oils
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce sambal oelek
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 thinly sliced green onions

Instructions
 

  • Mix the cornstarch, eggs, salt and pepper together. Stir in the chicken. In a Dutch Oven or heavy pot, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil on medium heat. When the oil reaches 350°F, fry the pieces of chicken until crispy and golden brown. Transfer the chicken pieces to paper towels and drain.
  • In a large skillet, heat the sesame seeds on medium-high heat. Once the seeds are lightly toasted, turn the skillet upside down and shake the skillet several times. Place the sesame seeds in a small bowl.
