Classic French toast is one of the most delicious and comforting breakfasts out there. This recipe has all the flavor you could hope for, but it’s also really easy to make.

Ingredients:

8 oz (8 sliced) of Brioche bread
4 large eggs
3 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp brown Sugar
Salt a pinch
Optional: A dash of cinnamon

Instructions:

This egg mixture should be able to batter 8 slices Brioche breads that are between 1/2 and 1 inches thick. It can be used to make about 10-12 French baguettes or 6 Challah slices.

Slice the bread and place it aside

Mix eggs, heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Add sugar and salt. Whisk until smooth. Set aside.

Pre-heat a large oven on medium-low heat. Spread a few tablespoons of canola olive oil on a large baking pan.

Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, as well as the edges. Brioche bread soaks up the egg quickly and easily. You should only make as many pieces of batter as you can fit in the pan. If you need to cook in more than one batch, make sure to batter the bread before adding it to your pan.

Let the battered slices cook in the pan for 3-4 minutes each side until they are golden brown. If necessary, repeat the process with any remaining bread slices.

Serve with your favorite topping.
