Made with just a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry, these chicken drumsticks are sure to become a new family favorite.
To make these chicken drumsticks, you’ll need:
6 cloves of garlic, pressed or grated
1 piece (1-inch) fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 pounds chicken drumsticks (about 12 drumsticks)
Optional: 1 Scallion, thinly sliced for garnish
Combine the oil, honey, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and honey in a large zip-top bag. To ensure that the honey is well mixed with the other ingredients, I massage the bottom.
Put the chicken drumsticks in a zip-top bag. Close the bag and shake it to ensure that all pieces of chicken are coated with the marinade. To ensure that the marinade penetrates all the pieces of chicken, I massage the chicken lightly. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to overnight
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Place the chicken in one layer on a baking sheet or on a baking tray. You can also place the marinade in the bag on the baking sheet.
