This Beefy Sour Cream Noodle Bake Is Pure Comfort Food

If you’re looking for a delicious dinner that’s easy to make, this meaty sour cream noodle bake is for you! This dish features wide egg noodles and a creamy sauce layered with beef, cheese and onions. The recipe makes enough for up to 8 servings, so it’s great for feeding your family or when friends come over.

Ingredients:

8 ounces of egg noodles
1 1/2 lb ground beef
Half a green pepper seeded, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 cup small-curd cottage cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
3-4 chopped green onions
1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) Cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Follow the package instructions to cook noodles. Drain.
Brown and crumble the ground beef, adding green pepper and garlic. Continue until it is no longer pink. Drain. Mix the tomato sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Mix well. Mix in the cooked noodles. Combine well.
Combine the cottage cheese, cream cheese and olive oil in a large bowl until well combined. Mix in the sour cream, green onions and milk. Combine well.
Layer half the noodle mixture in the prepared dish. Spread all of the cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the noodles. Sprinkle the remaining noodles mixture on top. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
Bake covered for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
