Cinnamon Syrup Glaze

  • 1/2 cup granulated Sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease and flour a 10-inch bundt cake pan.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  • Use an electric mixer to combine the sugar, butter and vanilla in a large bowl until they are smooth and creamy. You will add the eggs one at a while, blending well between each one.

  • Place the batter in the prepared pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool for 20 minutes.
  • Make the cinnamon glaze while the cake is cooling. Combine the sugar, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and water in a small saucepan. Mix the sugar, water, butter, vanilla and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Heat on medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture becomes slightly thickened.
  • Place the cake on a wire rack and place it over a plate. Use a fork to poke holes in the cake. Then drizzle the cinnamon syrup glaze over it.
  • Serve, slice, and enjoy!
