The Baked Firecracker Chicken was a huge success! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the flavor was out of this world. We will definitely be making this dish again.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup hot/chili such as Sriracha.
  • 1/2 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce gluten free for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1- pound breasts of boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to your liking

Instructions
 

  • 1/2 cup hot/chili (such as Sriracha).
  • 1/2 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (gluten free for gluten-free).
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1-pound breasts of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to your liking
  • Directions
  • In a small saucepan, heat the sugar, soy sauce vinegar, garlic, chili pepper flakes, and hot sauce until the sugar is melted into sauce.
  • In a large, oven-safe skillet heat the oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and then add to the pan. Brown for about 3-5 minutes each side.
  • Bake the chicken in a 400F/200C oven for 10-15 minutes. Continue to bake, turning the sauce once every five minutes.
