Hamburger Hashbrown Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced yellow onions
  • 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 20 oz bag frozen shredded hashbrowns thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Over medium heat, heat a large nonstick skillet.
  • In a large skillet, add the ground beef and chopped onions.
  • As the meat cooks, crumble it.
  • Drain the grease from your pan once the ground beef has been cooked to perfection.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low
  • To the skillet, add the cream of mushroom soup as well as the milk.
  • Stir until all the ground beef has been thoroughly coated in the soup.
  • Use cooking spray to coat a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread the ground beef mixture in a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the butter, salt, pepper and onion powder.
  • Mix well
  • Mix the hashbrowns into the bowl. Stir well.
  • Mix 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese into the bowl. Stir well.
  • Place the hash browns on top the ground beef mixture in a baking dish.
  • Bake the casserole dish in the oven until golden brown. It will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
  • Place the baking dish in the oven. Sprinkle the remaining half-cup of cheese on top.
  • Just until the cheese has melted, return the dish to the oven. It should take approximately 5 minutes.
  • Allow the casserole to cool in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy
