- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 1/3 cup All Purpose Flour
- 3 cups Whole Milk
- Cracked Black Pepper to taste
- 4.5 ounce Dried Beef sliced
- Toasted Texas Toast Bread Slices
Place the butter in a saucepan and heat on medium heat. Add the butter.
Once the butter has melted, add the flour to the bowl and stir to combine.
To get rid of the raw flour taste, simmer the roux for 2 to 3 minutes.
Next, add the milk. Stir or whisk until combined.
Stir in the cracked black pepper and chipped beef to the white wine and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens.
