Ingredients

  • 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent roll dough (450 g total)
  • 2 packages 8 oz each cream cheese (454 g total)
  • 1 cup white sugar 200 g
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup margarine melted (113 g)
  • 1/4 cup white sugar 50 g
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press it into the bottom of the prepared pan, making sure to seal the seams together.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent layer.
  • Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and lay them on top of the cream cheese layer, again making sure to seal the seams together. Do not press down.
  • Pour the melted margarine over the entire pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the top of the crescent rolls.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is crisp and golden. Let it cool down for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to seal the seams of the crescent rolls to prevent the cream cheese mixture from seeping out during baking.
You can use butter instead of margarine if you prefer.
If you have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They can be reheated in the microwave or oven.
