Refreshing Mandarin Orange Chicken Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 450 g cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 225 g celery thinly sliced
  • 1 can 425g mandarin oranges, drained
  • 125 g slivered almonds
  • 120 g green onions thinly sliced
  • 225 g cream cheese softened
  • 240 ml mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt and pepper and mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the chicken, celery, mandarin oranges, almonds, and green onion, and gently stir to coat, taking care not to break up the oranges.
  • Cover and chill for 4-6 hours.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

To make this recipe healthier, you can use Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese and mayonnaise.
This recipe can be easily doubled or halved, depending on how many people you're feeding.
You can substitute the almonds with other nuts, such as pecans or walnuts, if you prefer.
