Ingredients
  

  • 6 boneless pork chops about 2 lbs or 900 grams
  • 4 tablespoons 56 grams of melted butter
  • 9 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 10.75 oz or 305 grams can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1/3 cup 80 ml of white wine
  • 1 5 oz or 142 grams bag of Texas toast croutons, crushed
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish.
  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and arrange them over the melted butter.
  • Place 1 1/2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of each pork chop.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup and white wine until well combined. Pour the mixture over the pork chops.
  • Top with the crushed croutons.
  • Bake the casserole in the preheated oven until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C), which should take around 35-45 minutes.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

If you don't have white wine on hand, you can use chicken broth or water instead.
You can substitute the Texas toast croutons with regular croutons or bread crumbs.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can reduce the amount of white wine or add more cream of chicken soup.
Don't overcook the pork chops, as they can become dry and tough. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they are cooked to the correct temperature.
