Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 24 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 cup 200 g sugar
  • 6 large eggs at room temperature
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 unbaked premade pie crust

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) pie pan.
  • Press the premade pie crust into the greased pan and crimp the edges as desired.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until smooth.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie crust. Optional: sprinkle additional nutmeg on top.
  • Bake for 65-70 minutes or until the center of the pie is set.
  • Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a deeper flavor, you can use dark brown sugar instead of white sugar.
You can also add a teaspoon of cinnamon for a spicier flavor.
Be sure to let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing to allow the custard to set properly.
You can store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
