Ingredients
  

  • 450 g 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning
  • 226 g 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 120 ml 1/2 cup salsa
  • 170 g 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 12 small flour tortillas
  • 30 g 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Sour cream for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart as it browns. Drain any excess fat as needed.
  • Season the cooked beef with the taco seasoning according to the instructions on the packet. Set it aside.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the salsa and mix well to combine.
  • Take a tortilla and spread a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
  • Spoon some of the seasoned ground beef over the cream cheese, and top it with grated cheddar cheese.
  • Roll up the tortilla like a burrito and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops of the tortillas with melted butter and sprinkle a little bit of the remaining grated cheese on each.
  • Bake the Cheesy Beef Taco Pockets in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
