Method
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, ground cinnamon, sour cream, eggs, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Grease a 13x9-inch cake pan with cooking spray and sprinkle flour on it.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Spoon the apple pie filling over the batter.
- Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle.
- Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes at room temperature.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the milk and powdered sugar. Stir until well blended. Add more milk if the glaze is too thick.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
- Allow it to cool completely at room temperature.
- Slice into even pieces and serve.
Notes
You can substitute the apple pie filling with any other fruit filling of your choice.
For a more indulgent cake, add chopped nuts or caramel sauce on top.
