Stir in the cooked shredded chicken and pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown, typically 30-40 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
