Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef 454g
  • 2 cups spaghetti sauce 480mL, more or less depending on your preference
  • 8 slices of frozen garlic toast
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 113g
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to the cooking temperature instructed on the box of garlic toast.
  2. Crumble the ground beef into a skillet and cook over medium-high heat until fully browned. Drain off the excess fat, then stir in the spaghetti sauce. Simmer the meat sauce for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the meat sauce is simmering, bake the garlic toast according to package directions until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Spoon the meat sauce on top of the garlic toast, then top with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Return the garlic toast to the oven and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different types of spaghetti sauce to find your favorite flavor.
For a healthier option, use whole wheat garlic toast and reduced-fat mozzarella cheese.
This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to serve a larger group of people.
