Ingredients

  • 5-6 large Russet potatoes
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt or Kosher salt
  • Black pepper for taste
  • Topping
  • 1/3 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Bacon bits
  • 1 tbsp
  • Fresh green onions

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F
  2. Wash and dry the potatoes first. Depending on how big the potato is, you may need to pierce it with a fork several times.
  3. Next, drizzle olive oil on the potatoes. A baking brush is also an option.
  4. Sprinkle sea salt over the potatoes
  5. Bake the potatoes for 45-50 minutes on a baking tray. The size of the potatoes will affect the time it takes to cook them. Extra-large potatoes may take 5-10 minutes longer to bake. If you insert a fork into the potatoes, they should be soft inside.
  6. During baking, flip the potatoes twice. This will withstand even baking.
  7. Bake the bread and serve it with your favorite toppings, such as ranch, blue or sour milk.
