Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (453g) thin spaghetti noodles
  • 1 lb (453g) lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup (59ml) water
  • 1 can (15 oz/425g) chili beans, undrained
  • 1 can (15 oz/425g) tomato sauce
  • 8 oz (227g) Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup (113g) shredded cheese
  • Chopped tomato & green onion for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) and prepare a 9×13 inch (23x33cm) baking dish by spraying it with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the ground beef over medium-high heat in a skillet until it’s no longer pink. Drain the beef and return it to the pan.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef and stir everything together until well combined.
  4. Add the undrained chili beans, tomato sauce, and cubed Velveeta cheese to the beef mixture. Stir everything together and let it simmer over low heat while you cook the pasta.
  5. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Remember to salt your water for added flavor!
  6. Drain the pasta and add it to the taco beef mixture. Stir everything together and pour it into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Top the casserole with shredded cheese and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
