- SPICE RUB
- 2 teaspoons or to your taste, chili powder
- 1 teaspoon or to your taste, paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
- THE HONEY SAUCCE
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- CHICKEN
- 1 tablespoon cold-pressed unrefined coconut oil
- 6-8 boneless skinless chicken legs
- For garnish green onions
Preheat oven to 375F
Over medium heat, melt coconut oil in a cast-iron skillet.
Mix the spice rub ingredients together and combine until well combined.
Toss the chicken in the spice rub, and coat it.
Place chicken in a skillet. Cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Mix honey and apple cider vinegar together in a bowl. Stir until combined.
Turn off the heat, remove chicken and drizzle honey sauce over it.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Let cool in the oven for a few minutes.
Garnish with green onions.
Serve.
