Snickers Cheesecake

This Snickers Cheesecake is the perfect combination of two classic desserts - cheesecake and chocolate cake. It is sure to please any crowd, whether they are chocoholics or not.

Ingredients
  

  • 24 Oreos Regular "Stuff" Not Double Stuff
  • 5 tablespoons butter melted
  • 32 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/4 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • Each Mini Snicker will come in 20 pieces each cut into 8 pieces. It's super simple to freeze them first.
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup Half and Half
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • extra Mini Snickers for decorating Optional
  • 1/4 cup Salted Peanuts for decorating Optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Process the Oreos, including all fillings, in a food processor until they are completely broken down
  • Add the melted butter to the mixture. I use a food processor.
  • Place in a greased 9-inch Spring Form pan that is at least 3 inches high (this is higher than the standard !!!!).
  • Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Mix cream cheese, white sugar and sour cream in a mixer until smooth.
  • Combine the eggs and mix until well combined.
  • Add the chopped-up Mini Snickers.
  • Bake for one hour in the preheated oven Turn off the oven. Allow to cool in the oven for 2 hours
  • To make the caramel topping (optional): Heat the butter, brown sugar, half-and-half, and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Whisk the mixture until it starts to foam. Slowly whip the mixture for about 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
