CORNBREAD BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Cornbread roughly chopped does not need to be exact.
  • 1 lb. Breakfast sausage browned, and grease drained
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tsp dried mustard optional
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg optional.
  • 2 1/2 cups grated cheese I used Parmesan and sharp white cheddar
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Optional: Chives

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix egg, milk and salt with pepper or other seasonings.
  • Combine crumbled cornbread with cooked sausage and 2 cups grated cheese in a bowl.
  • Mix egg mixture with dry ingredients. Stir to combine. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 mins or until the cheese is melted.
