Poppy Seed Chicken

Poppy seed chicken is a classic dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be made ahead of time.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 cups cooked chicken chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix together the cream of chicken soup with the sour cream, poppy seed, Parmesan cheese and pepper in a large bowl. Add the garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, Parmesan cheese and sour cream to the bowl. Stir in the chicken, and continue to stir until coated with the sauce. Transfer the sauce and chicken to a large 9x13" baking pan.
  • To make the buttery cracker topping, combine the melted butter and the crushed Ritz crackers in a large bowl. Sprinkle the chicken filling over.
  • Bake covered for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges. Serve immediately
