Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar 250g
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats 75g
  • 3/4 cup milk 180ml
  • 1/2 cup sugar 100g
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature (42g)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 7.5ml
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 1.5g
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a pie dish with unbaked pie crust.
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together the brown sugar, oats, sugar, and salt.
  • Add in the milk, beaten eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the pie shell.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pie is fully cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, simply use a gluten-free pie crust. If you want to make this recipe even more decadent, try adding a handful of chopped pecans to the filling before baking. And don't forget to serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for the ultimate indulgence. Enjoy!
